I don't know if anyone else had this experience, but my reading actually went to near-zero in the early months of the pandemic.
The last book I finished before the world shut down was "How to Be An Anti-Racist," and the next book I read was "My Best Friend's Excorcism," which I picked up in a bookstore in downtown Charleston, masked, in late May, feeling that the brief excursion was safe per the latest data.
